Why Images of COVID-19 are So Colorful
图像 信息 真实
这次疫情的元凶是一种冠状病毒，与艾滋病、SARS是同一种类型的病毒，但这次疫情爆发之后有一个现象是与以往不同的，就是我们看到了大量关于病毒的图像。更进一步地看，病毒图像可谓五花八门，直观上最为显著的现象是其颜色出现了很多种。
图像增添了真实感，也使事物更容易被理解。网络时代有一句流行的口号：“有图有真相”，图像是否真的能带来真相？这是一个值得辨析的话题。图像在信息时代，越来越被视为传递信息的有效手段，图像的信息属性也在被不断强化，但图像的真实性其实是大大存疑的。五彩缤纷的病毒图像揭示了一个悖论：越是缤纷的色彩，越说明了图像的不可靠。
比利时画家雷内·马格利特在1926年画了一幅著名的作品《这不是一只烟斗》，画面上是写实手法绘制的烟斗图像。马格利特一生的艺术创作所致力于讨论的一个核心话题就是图像与真实之间的关系。法国思想家福柯受马格利特画作的启发，写了一本书《这不是一只烟斗》。信息时代的人们可能需要更多的训练来辨别图像作为符号的用途与意义。
由此，我们希望从病毒缤纷的图像出发，来讨论图像、信息与真实性之间的关系，这是一个开放的话题，也是一个不会轻易终结的话题。我们邀请了来自多个领域的专家和学者一起围绕这个话题展开讨论，以不同的立场和经验来丰富我们对这个问题的认识。
